UNIMINUTO Visits the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research

REVERSEACTION and the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research recently hosted a visit from Anacristina Bayona, Vice-Chancellor for Social Projection at the Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (Uniminuto Bogotá) in Colombia, to discuss joint initiatives on social inclusivity and widening participation. With over 100,000 students across Colombia, UNIMINUTO’s core mission is to provide affordable and inclusive higher education, especially for underserved communities, and all their students across all disciplines work in community-based projects.

Building on existing collaborations between the REVERSEACTION team and UNIMINUTO at the Museo Arqueologico Nueva Esperanza, both institutions now plan to expand their engagement to other areas.

The visit to the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research was hosted by Matthew Davies, Deputy Director of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, and Marcos Martinón-Torres, Pitt-Rivers Professor of Archaeological Science, together with Kate Klesner, Jasmine Vieri and Agnese Benzonelli from the REVERSEACTION project.
